Job Description:

* New position! Be involved in building our science capital in Australia
* Work with other hydrologists to develop new science in global hydroclimatology

The position:

The hydroclimatologist will carry out research on global hydroclimatology, using global precipitation, climate and streamflow data sets and simulations from global climate models and hydrological models. Some of the important research questions include: (i) how climate and water availability have changed over time (variability over different time scales)? (ii) has there been changes in the rainfall-temperature-runoff relationship in a non-stationary climate? (iii) how to adapt models to account for changing climate-water relationship and dominant hydrological processes to reliably predict future water availability, and (iv) what are the projections (range and uncertainty) for future water availability and the implications on water security in Australia and globally
